CoinStats CEO: Company's AWS infrastructure hacked, 1% of total users affected.

ChainCatcher news, CoinStats CEO Narek Gevorgyan released a security incident update, stating that the security vulnerability was due to the company's AWS infrastructure being hacked, with evidence indicating that the attack was carried out through an employee downloading malware. This attack primarily affected a small number of users using CoinStats Wallet, accounting for only 1% of the total users. Gevorgyan stated that support will be provided to the victims and that internal discussions are ongoing, currently awaiting details from law enforcement before releasing a detailed report.

ChainCatcher previously reported that CoinStats suspended user activities on June 23 due to the security vulnerability, with 1.3% of CoinStats wallets affected, totaling 1,590 wallets, resulting in a loss of approximately $10 million.
