BitcoinOS has open-sourced the BitSNARK verification protocol

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the infrastructure supporting the Bitcoin second layer network, BitcoinOS (BOS), has announced the open-sourcing of the BitSNARK verification protocol for further experimentation in Bitcoin.

The team stated that BitSNARK allows zk-SNARK proofs to run on Bitcoin without altering the core protocol. With advanced cryptographic techniques, any code can be compiled and run on Bitcoin.
