ChainCatcher news, the encrypted cloud storage platform Storj has announced the appointment of Colby Winegar as CEO. He previously served as the Chief Revenue Officer of Storj for many years, driving key strategic partnerships, technology alliances, acquisitions, and new customers.

Before joining Storj, Colby co-founded and led CrowdStorage. He scaled CrowdStorage to serve over 1,000 customers, including Western Digital and Vivint. Colby was also responsible for strategic partnerships and new growth opportunities at Vivint Smart Home, North America's leading smart home service provider, and established partnerships with Best Buy and Airbnb.
