Stacks announces sBTC deployment plan, expected to open deposit functionality on December 16

ChainCatcher news, according to official sources, the Bitcoin scaling solution Stacks announced that it will deploy sBTC in two phases. The first phase mainnet will launch on December 16, 2024, enabling Bitcoin deposit functionality. The second phase will be released 6-8 weeks after the first phase, expected in the first quarter of 2025, at which point Bitcoin withdrawal functionality will be enabled.
