World launches chat feature World Chat, entering the instant messaging field

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Sam Altman's blockchain project World has launched a new feature: World Chat, officially entering the instant messaging field. This new feature, as a "Mini App," can be accessed through the World App wallet and will provide special functionalities for holders of the World digital passport. This digital passport allows users to exchange an account that verifies "personhood" through iris scanning. World Chat is the latest attempt by World to help people distinguish between bots and humans in the AI era.

The developing company Tools for Humanity stated, "By connecting World ID, World Chat lets you know when you're chatting with a verified real human." Users who have not used the World iris scanning Orb can still access this chat feature. The design of the new messaging app is inspired by Apple's iMessage, with conversations with verified World ID holders displaying blue chat bubbles and a unique World ID gem in the upper right corner, while conversations with unverified accounts show gray bubbles without a gem.

Tiago Sada, head of products at Tools for Humanity, revealed, "Over the past year, World App has grown rapidly, and we have been receiving constant requests for a direct messaging feature. We believe that for actions like sending funds, this is more natural and fun than entering the wallet to send transactions."

World Chat will be available to Android and iPhone iOS users starting this Thursday (March 7). Additionally, World is collaborating with the social protocol Friends With Benefits, as well as Alchemy, Bain Crypto Capital, Blockchain Capital, and Variant Fund to launch the incubator project World Build, which includes hackathons, building workshops, and demo days aimed at encouraging developers to create "Mini Apps."
