Bakkt updates investment policy, plans to include Bitcoin in company asset allocation

ChainCatcher news, according to Business Wire, the NYSE-listed company Bakkt (BKKT) announced an update to its investment policy, officially allowing capital allocation to Bitcoin and other major digital assets as part of its financial and corporate strategy.
Bakkt stated that this move is built on three strategic pillars: "core asset allocation, capital structure optimization, and global financial strategy expansion," aimed at enhancing long-term shareholder value and advancing its cryptocurrency infrastructure transformation. The company has not yet made any digital asset purchases and will act in the future based on market and business conditions.
The co-CEO stated that this policy update marks an important step for the company in expanding into the global payments, stablecoins, and programmable currencies space.
