AEON has partnered with Bitget Wallet to launch native Web3 mobile payment features and support national QR systems

ChainCatcher news, the encrypted payment framework AEON has reached a strategic partnership with the Web3 wallet Bitget Wallet. AEON provides Bitget Wallet with native Web3 mobile payment functionality, making Bitget Wallet the first self-custodial wallet to natively support Vietnam's national QR payment system (VietQR).

This integration allows users to complete payments directly using cryptocurrency by scanning QR codes within the wallet. This feature has covered over 20 million local merchants in Southeast Asia, as well as global brand stores such as McDonald's, Starbucks, and Uniqlo. In the future, both parties will further expand to local payment channels such as Philippines QR Ph and bank transfers in Nigeria.
