ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit has dismissed the appeal by the crypto advocacy group Coin Center against the U.S. Department of the Treasury, which involved sanctions imposed by the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on the Tornado Cash mixing service in 2022.
The appellate court approved a motion on Thursday to vacate the lower court's ruling and instructed the dismissal as part of the joint filing by Coin Center and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
This dismissal effectively ends Coin Center's legal challenge against the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control. The native token of Tornado Cash (TORN) briefly surged over 14% to $10.55 following the news on Monday, but has since fallen back to $9.47 at the time of publication.
