ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the Ethereum Foundation has launched a security audit competition for the Fusaka upgrade, with a prize pool of up to $2 million.
This four-week audit is hosted by the Sherlock platform, with Gnosis and Lido as co-hosts, aiming to identify potential vulnerabilities before the launch. The Fusaka upgrade includes approximately 12 EIPs, focusing mainly on security, throughput, and efficiency improvements, with "node data availability sampling" decentralizing data checks among nodes to expand Rollups capacity. The competition features a reward multiplier mechanism: 2x in the first week and 1.5x in the second week. The upgrade is targeted for deployment to the mainnet in Q4 2025, but the Foundation's Executive Director Tomasz Stańczak stated that if coordination is not tight enough, the timeline may be delayed.
