Former SEC Chairman Gensler said he is "proud" of the enforcement regulation on cryptocurrencies

Gensler expressed that he is "proud" of the correct decisions made regarding the regulation of digital assets during his time at the SEC, and reiterated the view that cryptocurrency is a "highly speculative, extremely risky asset." When discussing enforcement actions against cryptocurrency companies, Gensler stated, "We have been working hard to ensure investor protection. However, during this time, we have also encountered many fraudsters: look at Sam Bankman-Fried, he is not the only one."
