Base protocol leader: There will be no hasty deployment of the Base token, and the release date will not be announced in the near future

ChainCatcher news, Base protocol head Jesse Pollak stated in an interview with Fortune magazine that Base's code is open source and that the chain aims to become an ecosystem similar to Linux, for various cryptocurrency developers to use. This is also an important reason why Coinbase plans to issue tokens on Base—to coordinate incentive mechanisms and token decentralization.

Jesse mentioned that token issuance often comes at the expense of the broader community associated with the blockchain, enriching supporters. Therefore, Coinbase is proceeding with caution, determined not to rush the deployment of tokens and does not plan to announce a release date anytime soon.
