ChainCatcher news, Binance donated approximately $200,000 worth of cryptocurrency (30,644 BNB) to a Malta cancer charity in 2018. Due to the rise in market prices, this amount is now worth about $37 million, but the funds have yet to be claimed.

According to reports, a dispute has arisen between Binance and the Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF) over patient information verification issues, causing the transfer of funds to be stalled. Binance insists on transferring the donation directly to the final beneficiaries to ensure transparency, while MCCF refuses to provide the patient information requested by Binance. Since discussions about a solution began in 2021, there has been no further progress.
