Sentient Labs launches East Asia tour to introduce open-source AGI to China, Japan, and South Korea

ChainCatcher news, the open-source general artificial intelligence (AGI) company Sentient Labs has announced the launch of a program covering campus tours and corporate collaborations to expand its market presence in East Asia, aiming to introduce open-source AGI technology to China, Japan, and South Korea.
Sentient Labs has previously secured $85 million in seed funding from global investors, including Peter Thiel's Founders Fund and Pantera Capital.
Sentient Labs co-founder Sandeep Nailwal stated that the company views the younger generation in China and East Asia as a key force in co-building AGI and is committed to broadening the development path of open-source AGI.
It is reported that Sentient Labs will collaborate with TinTinLand to jointly host the "Sentient East Asia Tour." Event guests include Tsinghua University professor Fang Zhixuan, Nvidia Applied Deep Learning Research Institute researcher Yang Zhuolin, KAIST AI PhD students Wooming Song and Jaehyun Nam, who will discuss open-source AI topics and the localization practices of AGI tools for local communities alongside Sentient Labs researchers Edoardo Contente, University of Washington professor Sewoong Oh, and Sheng Peiyao.
