Korean listed company Bitplanet launches daily Bitcoin accumulation plan

ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, South Korean listed company Bitplanet has launched its first daily Bitcoin accumulation plan as part of a broader effort to build a substantial capital reserve using the world's largest cryptocurrency, acquiring the asset. Additionally, the company purchased 93 Bitcoins last week.
The company disclosed at the end of August its plan to utilize $40 million in new funding and a rebranding effort to establish a treasury of 10,000 Bitcoins. The "Digital Asset Basic Act," set to be launched in South Korea in June 2025, is expected to take effect in 2027 and aims to set unified standards for token issuance, custody, and corporate cryptocurrency holdings. When asked about investor expectations for Bitplanet after the law's implementation, Lee stated that the company has been operating "under a stricter interpretation of the current Financial Services Commission guidelines to ensure a smooth transition" and has been "preparing to meet or exceed" its regulatory requirements.
