According to The Block, Bloomberg's senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated that Canary Capital's XRP ETF (ticker XRPC) began trading on Thursday morning, with a first-day trading volume of $58 million, setting a new record for first-day trading volume among nearly 900 newly listed ETFs this year.
Earlier, Balchunas mentioned on X platform that XRPC's trading volume in the first hour reached $26 million. Previously, this record was held by Bitwise's Solana ETF (ticker BSOL), which had a first-day trading volume of about $57 million, and its trading volume soared to $72 million the next day. Balchunas noted that when discussing the issuance of this year's XRPC and BSOL funds, they stand out on their own, as the trading volume of the third-ranked fund lags behind them by over $20 million.
