According to CoinDesk, as the crypto industry pushes for recent action from the U.S. Congress on a bill to establish a regulatory framework for the digital asset market, the Blockchain Association has hired Lindsay Fraser from Uniswap Labs to lead its policy affairs.

Fraser previously handled policy matters for Uniswap while the industry struggled with how the U.S. government would address DeFi issues. Now, she will take on broader responsibilities for the association, which has 146 member companies, but she stated that her DeFi experience will help advance related discussions. In an interview, Fraser mentioned that the association is one of the leading industry advocacy organizations in Washington and will closely monitor the market structure bill currently being negotiated in the Senate, the implementation of the stablecoin bill established earlier this year, and the future direction of U.S. cryptocurrency tax policy.
