Analysis: Silver volatility surpasses Bitcoin, Bitcoin's year-end trading volume shrinks
Dec 30, 2025 15:39:00
According to CoinDesk, the volatility in the silver market has significantly surpassed that of Bitcoin, reflecting the starkly different market conditions of the two assets. The actual volatility of silver has surged to over 50%, with prices rising more than 151% this year, primarily driven by increased demand for green technology and impending export restrictions in China.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin's 30-day annualized actual volatility remains stable at around 45%, below its 365-day average of 48%. Bitcoin is currently trading at approximately $87,350, down nearly 30% from its historical high of $126,000 set in October. Analysts attribute this decline to weakened demand for spot ETFs and market mechanism factors, rather than a shift in market sentiment.
