U.S. Congressman Warren Davidson from Ohio stated that the value of Bitcoin lies in its being a "permissionless, peer-to-peer payment system" that allows individuals to have direct control over their funds without third-party intervention and enables rapid asset transfers.

Last month, it was reported that Congressman Warren Davidson introduced the "Bitcoin for America Act."
