According to Hongxing News, after the arrest of Chen Zhi, the founder of Prince Group, the Cambodia Real Estate and Mortgage Loan Regulatory Authority (NRPC) ordered the suspension of sales activities for five large apartment and residential development projects on January 12. Buyers who have already signed contracts are still required to fulfill their obligations under the contract, and those who have paid in full can apply for the transfer of ownership. It is reported that this administrative decision to suspend sales is based on the recent significant illegal activities involving Prince Group.
In addition, the National Bank of Cambodia has officially announced the initiation of liquidation procedures for Prince Bank in accordance with the country's current relevant laws and regulations.
