Vitalik Buterin posted that this morning he needed to check the signers of his multi-signature address. Without the Safe app installed on his phone, he found that he could directly obtain the necessary information by looking up his address on Etherscan and using the "Read Contract" feature. Vitalik pointed out that open-source applications or wallets often provide additional user experience advantages that can help in unexpected situations, surpassing the capabilities of traditional websites.

He further mentioned that, for privacy reasons, this workflow may ultimately be restricted. One way to achieve an equivalent and privacy-focused workflow is for users to save a "view key," which is an extended version of the user's address containing additional privacy information. Block explorers could support this method by placing the privacy information in the hash tag portion of the URL, keeping it client-side. However, the downside of this approach is that it encourages users to paste any type of secret information into URLs or web pages, which poses risks; ultimately, there still needs to be the ability to perform more actions directly through the wallet.
