Coinbase becomes the only cryptocurrency company to advertise in the Super Bowl 2026

According to Decrypt, during the 60th Super Bowl (Super Bowl LX) held on Sunday, Coinbase was the only cryptocurrency company to run a major advertisement. Compared to the "Crypto Bowl" in 2022, where multiple crypto companies participated collectively, this year's industry marketing scale has significantly reduced. Coinbase's advertisement lasted one minute and featured the karaoke lyrics of the Backstreet Boys' 1997 single "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)."
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the advertisement aims to promote economic freedom and alleviate polarized sentiments through a choral format. Analysts pointed out that this advertising strategy reflects the cautious attitude of the cryptocurrency industry after market reshuffling, with marketing focus shifting from early celebrity endorsements and high cashbacks to compliance and trust-building.
