According to informed sources, the company that developed the Kimi chatbot initiated discussions for additional financing in late January to meet investor demand. Just about a month ago, the company completed a $500 million financing round at a valuation of $4.3 billion. Sources said that existing investors, including Alibaba, Tencent, and Five Sources Capital, have already committed over $700 million in the first phase of the latest financing round.
