Nick Timiraos: Forecasts show that the U.S. PCE inflation in December will increase by 0.37% month-on-month

According to Jinshi News, "the Fed's mouthpiece" Nick Timiraos predicts that the U.S. December PCE inflation (core and overall) will increase by 0.37% month-on-month (annualized rate of 4.5%). This will raise the core PCE index annual rate to 3%, the highest level since February 2025. The overall PCE annual rate is expected to be 2.9%, the highest level since March 2024.
