According to Gate market data, U.S. stocks opened with the Dow down 0.5%, the S&P 500 down 0.31%, and the Nasdaq down 0.27%. Precious metal concept stocks weakened, with Coeur Mining down 4%, Newmont down 2%, and Pan American Silver down 6%. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index rose 0.23%.
