Tron held the latest developer conference: v4.8.1 upgrade completion, TIP-6780 about to launch

According to official news, at the latest TRON developer conference (#57), the community focused on disclosing several core technology updates, including the progress of the v4.8.1 upgrade, the TIP-6780 advancement plan, TronWeb updates, and subsequent version planning.

Based on the meeting content, the v4.8.1 network upgrade has completed its final preparations, and the proposal initiation conditions have been met. Nodes that have not yet upgraded need to complete the update as soon as possible to avoid affecting block synchronization. Meanwhile, the community expects to initiate a vote on TIP-6780 on April 7, adjusting the SELFDESTRUCT instruction, and relevant DApp developers need to prepare for compatibility in advance.

On the tools front, TronWeb v6.2.2 has been officially released, and the v5 version will no longer be maintained. Developers need to migrate to v6 as soon as possible to receive ongoing support and optimized experience. In addition, the meeting also disclosed that v4.8.2 has entered the planning stage, with an expected release in Q2 2026.
